One Health PACT Final Meeting

On Wednesday November 26, 2025, the One Health PACT Final Meeting took place at Theatre Walhalla in Rotterdam. Researchers, partners and stakeholders from across the consortium gathered to present and reflect on five years of interdisciplinary work.

The programme featured the project achievements and highlights of the consortium: Vectors and ecology (Sander Koenraadt), Molecular Learnings (Tessa Nelemans), and Birds (Jurrian Irsel), followed by reflections on impact from NWO (Stella Koppel). The programme continued with Mosquito Alert and How the Technasium schools were involved (Wilco Zwennis), followed by a session on One Health PACT tools and resources chaired by Reina Sikkema, featuring contributions from Muriel Aguilar Bretones (systems serology) and Jelke Fros (vaccines). Next, Modelling into the Future was presented by Quirine ten Bosch and Mariken de Wit. 

The day concluded with ‘What’s next for One Health PACT? How can the outputs be used in future work?’, covering: West Nile Virus surveillance (Marieta Braks), Pathogens portal (Ted Oliekan), Follow up projects: ClimateHUB (Pauline de Best) and Key new questions for future research (Marion Koopmans). 

To close the day, Marion thanked everyone for their contributions, after which Maaike van Zuilen and Rody Blom presented a small gift, and Martha Gilbert shared a few final words.
